Masters Thesis | Journey Inside a Daffodil: Integrating 3D Tech into Nature Interpretation

For my Masters Thesis, I developed an interpretive sign and virtual 3D interactive experience that was installed outside the visitor center University of Dundee Botanic Garden. The project involves combining traditional illustrative interpretive signage design with a unique advanced-technology component wherein the user can choose to digitally engage with interactive 3D visualizations of various biological scales of a daffodil. The goal of the project was to expose visitors to a wide variety of fundamental plant science concepts, raise awareness about The Scottish Daffodil Project, and explore how technology can be used in outdoor learning.
